Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur is a well known hotel within the Golden Triangle; main shopping and nightlife district. Strategically located in the heart of Bukit Bintang, the property is surrounded with shopping malls such as Pavilion, Fahrenheit88, Bintang Walk and Lot 10 Shopping Complex. With 468 rooms across 7 categories, this hotel is ideal for those who enjoys retail therapy. I was in Kuala Lumpur for a short period, the hotel is easily accessible with the newly built MRT or Monorail (Bukit Bintang Station).
Since the hotel is located at the shopping belt of KL, the traffic to the hotel is often congested especially during the peak hours. The lobby is somewhat grand with a huge chandelier and flower centerpiece.
Check-in was a breeze and my room was allocated on the 12th floor.
Grand Deluxe Room
My room was bumped up to Grand Deluxe. Pale gold and gentle cream, I find the decor seems a bit outdated but the spacious room will do the justice. The room comes with a queen or 2 single comfy beds. Selection of pillows are also available upon request.
You can sit and enjoy your reading while the floor-to-ceiling windows offer great views of Kuala Lumpur skyline.
Stock up minibar for consumption.
Huge wardrobe with plenty of hangers. Iron and ironing board were provided too.
The hotel still uses the ‘old school’ switches for the lights.
The marble bathroom consist of standing shower and bath tub.
Bathroom amenities were provided.
Swimming Pool
The outdoor swimming pool on level 3 needs a serious refurbishment.
I did not opt for breakfast since there are plenty of eateries to choose from within the vicinity. Without doubt, the location of the hotel is a gem. Grand Millennium Kuala Lumpur is perfect for business travellers and those who wants to be close to the shopping malls.

So, have you tried the MRT yet?
The hotel does look aged but still look grand for me.
And that old school switch – I think it is common for big old hotels in KL. I stayed at Grand Season last week and they had the same exact switch! Lol.
Not yet! Perhaps next yr in february when i’m in KL :)
