The much anticipated event of the year, Christmas Wonderland at Gardens by the Bay returns for its fourth edition. The event ground is spread across 57,000 sqm features a couple of new attractions and old time favourites of the annual Yuletide fair. I was there during the opening weekend. Here’s how you can celebrate Christmas in Singapore.
Blizzard Time at the Spalliera
You might not get real snow in the tropics but the Blizzard Time at the Spalliera is as close as it gets. The Blizzard time is one of the traditional favourites at the Christmas Wonderland. Take note of the timing below.
6:50pm – 6:55pm

The Cassa Armonica gazebo
Beautiful melodies and vocals adds to the magical atmosphere of Christmas at the Cassa Armonica. Look out for the programme line up for more information.

South-east Asia’s tallest Spalliera Light Up Ceremony
Minister Lawrence Wong officiates the Christmas Wonderland Light Up Ceremony, followed by the Blizzard Time.
The majestic 22.5 metre tall and 20 metre wide Spalliera feature an all-new luminarie design reminiscent of the medieval period.
Did you know that there are as many as 80 enchanting sculptures nestle within the Supertree Grove and the Dragonfly Bridge.

Festive Market
The charming European-style Festive Market feature a collection of 24 specially designed wooden huts adapted from renowned Christmas markets throughout Europe.
Garden Rhapsody Christmas Edition
Enjoy familiar Christmas tunes as you soak in the festive ambience of the Supertree Grove which happens daily at 7.45pm and 8.45pm.
Santa’s Grotto, Carnival Rides and Games
The Santa’s Grotto feature Santa Claus, life-sized flying reindeer sculptures amid a starry landscape and an Alpine pinewood house. Be prepared to wait in line to enter Asia’s largest Santa’s Grotto.
Tokens are required for carnival games and rides which can be purchased at S$2 each at token booths located within the event grounds.
Skating Under The Stars
Brought in all the way from Switzerland, visitors will have the chance to skate at an outdoor skating rink, surrounded with luminarie light sculptures.

The Circus Abyssinia Present Ethiopian Dreams
Circus Abyssinia brings the rhythms of Africa to Gardens by the Bay! You can expect a mix of gravity-defying stunts, astounding skills and enchanting adventure.

If you do not wish to spend ticket entry to the Christmas Wonderland, visitors will be able to enjoy the Luminarie at Golden Gardens for free! The Golden Gardens is located near the arrival square and Mcdonalds.
