Review: Montigo Resorts Nongsa

Are you looking for places to unwind from the hectic city life? Nestled along the coastal shoreline of Nongsapura in Batam, just a 20-minute ferry ride away from Singapore, Montigo Resort is a pleasant and unexpected way to escape.

Take the Ferry to Nongsa

The closest ferry terminal to Montigo Resorts is Nongsapura Ferry Terminal. Batam Fast is the only ferry operator to Nongsa from Tanah Merah (SGD 49 for Roundtrip). Be at the terminal at least 1 hour before departure to exchange the e-ticket and do allocate some time to clear the immigration.

Complimentary Land Transfer

The resort provides complimentary transfer to the resort from Nongsa. You would need to make arrangement prior arrival and approach the Montigo Resorts booth at the arrival hall when you have arrived at Nongsa.

The Lobby

The lobby gets crowded during check-in but well-staffed and efficient. All you need to do is sit back and enjoy the welcome drink. I didn’t have to wait long since my room is ready. 

The resort compound is huge. Walking under the hot sun is not a good idea. Thus, chauffeured around in a buggy or car is common here.

Premier One-Bedroom Villa (1506)

The Premier One-Bedroom Villa is relatively new.  It comes with a master bedroom suite with king-sized bed, en-suite bathroom and small living area facing the sea.

You can never get enough of the infinity pool at Montigo.

TIIGO’s infinity pool also doubles up as the best place in the resort to catch the sunset.

Montigo Resorts is perfect for a weekend stay but comes with a hefty price tag. Staff service was top notch, ocean views from room and the private pool was stunning. Room prices starts at SGD 212++ per night.
