Hua Hin After Dark

Although Hua Hin is known as a family destination rather than its nightlife, the beach town has a good mix of night markets and entertainment venues. After dark, Soi Bintabaht is a popular walking street that consist almost entirely of bars, restaurants and cafes. For the rest of the night-owls, here’s how you can spend your night at Hua Hin.

Dinner near the Beach

There is no shortage of halal food in Hua Hin. Close to Hua Hin Beach, Royal Indian Food restaurant serves both Indian and Thai cuisine. The prices were affordable and I had a couple of tasty dishes for dinner. The restaurant uses halal ingredients but do note that beers are served at the premise.

Hua Hin Night Market

I am not a fan of night markets but when you are in Thailand, night markets are a must-visit pit stop. Hua Hin Night Market is touristy, lively and busy. It’s a best place to pick up last-minute souvenirs, accessories and clothes. If you love street food, this is the place you should be!

You might find a few food trucks.

Chatsila Night Market

Slightly off the main market stretch, Chatsila Market is rather on a quieter side. Here you can find second-hand goods, local arts and crafts. You can also expect live music played by local buskers. The street transforms into a night market every day from 6.00pm but best time to go is after 7.30pm when all the stores tend to be open.

Cicada Night Market

Organised chaos; Cicada Market (Community of Identity Culture Arts & Dynamic Activities) is not your typical Thai night market. It is located on a dedicated plot of land with dedicated sectors for Art, F&B and knick-knacks.

You can find variety of food but you need to exchange for coupons at the entrance before placing any orders.

The ambience was different to the other street markets I had been. There were many entrepreneurs selling  handmade crafts, designer goods and T-shirts. In fact, if you want to get something unique compared to the usual night market, this is the best place to get one.

Tamarind Night Market

Located next to Cicada Market, I find that the food prices at Tamarind Market were much cheaper. You might find a few food trucks here. It is ideal for families and the live music adds to the atmosphere of the market.
