Night fest is a yearly nocturnal extravaganza of spectacular light and sound installation. I’m able to catch the one at SAM and NMS. The light showcase at Singapore Art Museum (SAM) facade is an installation by Stéphane Bève / Milos h Luczynski / Philippe Rizzotti called Mimoïd II
The light installations are just photo-worthy!
FYI, SAM was once housed St Joseph’s Institution (SJI), a Catholic boys’ school. After 135 years in Bras Basah Road, SJI was relocated, making way for SAM.
Enchanted forest
This installation is called Distorted Forest by Stéphane Blanquet. Using lights, music and shadows. Stephane blanquet readapts the chinese technique of shadow play to create the forest populated with life size-plant half-insect elements. The shadows create a stormy, haunted forest and some sort of Gremlin look.
The next light installation is projected at National Museum of Singapore. It is called WE THE PEOPLE by our local Singaporean artist Brian Gothong Tan. He added the touch of Singapore history to the current state.
Be dazzled with the spectacular lights!
Other past Exhibitions: Titanic | Pompeii | Harry Potter | iLight | Treasures of the Aga Khan
When is the last date of the festival? Hope I can catch it! :D
Sadly the fest ended last weekend. Gotta wait for next year tho.
Aahhh too bad :(
