Gardens by the Bay: Dahlia Dreams

_DSC0356

Ring in the Year of the Monkey with Dahlia Dreams floral display inspired by the Chinese classical tale Journey to the West at the Gardens by the Bay, Flower Dome. In this first floral display of 2016, take a stroll through a stunning landscape of dahlias, begonias and other exquisite blooms against the backdrop of a 7-metre-tall mountain.

People born in the year of the monkey are quick witted, intelligent and playful.

The Dahlia Dreams brings to mind the mythical “Flowers and Fruit Mountain” where the legendary Monkey King was said to be born, as well as “Water Curtain Cave” that was described in the novel.

  1. One thing that I like most about flowers is that the vibrancy they project is something that facilitates a photographer in composing a good shot. They are always striking to me!

I’m sure I would so want to go there given the chance!
