Taipei: Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf

My intention to visit Tamsui Fisherman’s Wharf was to catch the sunset. Unfortunately, the weather doesn’t look promising. The wharf is a popular scenic spot at the western tip of Tamsui District. Just 1 hour away from Taipei City, Tamsui is good escape from the hustle and bustle city life.

There were many fishing boats docked at the wharf.

The Lover’s Bridge is a notable attraction at Tamsui. How the bridge got its name is because it was opened on 14 February 2003 on Valentine’s Day.

It was nice to take a stroll along the riverside.

It can be very windy at times.

There were many eateries located near the wharf.

I took the bus to reach the wharf but the regular ferry is a good choice to avoid the rush hour traffic.

The bridge looks stunning at night too.
