Lobby @ Level 6
Amari Johor Bahru is located opposite Komtar JBCC which is a 10 minutes walk from JB CIQ. The hotel lobby is located on the 6th floor; sleek and modern finishing with influence of Thai elements. I took the first KTM train out from Woodlands CIQ and found myself too early for the check-in. Thankfully, I managed to secure the room for an early check-in at a half-day rate.

Amari Johor Bahru houses 242 rooms and suites. The are only 24 Grand Deluxe category located at every corner of each floor with approximately 44 square metres in size.
Most of the room categories offer connecting rooms which is ideal for families. You can expect spacious rooms featuring modern warm interiors and local touches. My room is fully equipped with amenities such as an LED TV with satellite channels, an ergonomic work desk and complimentary WiFi.

Lonely Travelog 
Simply my favourite hotel when in JB. Because of the hospitality, the ambiance, and the connectivity to SG. They have renovated the deck area at the pool by adding a roof there.
I second that. One of the better hotels in JB city centre. DoubleTree by Hilton not bad too.
