The 88-storey twin structure is Kuala Lumpur’s crown jewel. The Petronas Twin Tower is an architectural wonder; designed to resemble motifs found in Islamic art. The notable landmark was the tallest buildings in the world for six years, until Taipei 101 was completed in 2004. However, the Petronas Towers still remain the tallest twin buildings in the world. The two towers are connected with a bridge aims at resembling the ‘M’ of Malaysia.
The towers is not just an architectural marvel but also a popular tourist attractions. Visitors are require to purchase the timed entry ticket to go up the towers. I booked my ticket online and choose the 6.15pm slot. The popular time slots is between 6pm – 7pm if you wish to catch the sunset. Every visitors were given a coloured lanyard that will determined which time slot group they belongs to.
Skybridge on level 41
Each group were given 15 minutes at the Skybridge on level 41, a connecting structure between the towers and the world’s highest 2-storey bridge.

Observatory on level 86
We were ascend even higher to level 86, where the story of Malaysia’s vision unfolds amid breathtaking views of Kuala Lumpur for another 15 minutes.
Perfect timing to catch the sunset!
We were then ushered down to level 83 for souvenir for another 10 minutes and back down to level 1 to conclude the tour.
The time spent at the observatory was quite limited. The ticket price of RM85.00 is indeed expensive but the view is worthwhile. I would recommend to book your tickets online prior your visit to the Twin Towers to avoid disappointment.

85 Ringitt is quite expensive. They previously offered free tickets for morning time slots – a long queu formed quite early & tickets were given out for specific time slots, until about late morning.
Is this no longer on offer?
They stopped giving out free tickets few years back. All visitors must purchase a ticket at the counter or online.
