Gardens by the Bay kick off this Lunar New Year with the Year of the Horse Flower Field Display till 16 February 2014! The Wood Horse year is a time of fast victories, unexpected adventure, and surprising romance. The Chinese also believe that horses are energetic, talented, kind and cheerful. The phrase “Qian Li Ma” or a thousand miles horse, a mythical horse that is able to gallop a thousand miles in a single day.
A magical horse is often associated with supernatural powers. He is heroic, strong, and able to fly. A white celestial cloud Horse is sacred to the Chinese Goddess Kwan Yin. Her white Horse flies through the heavens, bringing peace and blessings.
Gallop into the Year of the Horse.
Red, corresponding with fire, symbolises good fortune and joy.
More gold to spice up the celebration.
