If you are looking looking for a quiet place away from the hustle and bustle of city life in Chiang Mai, Horizon Village & Resort is the perfect place to stay! This property is situated inside the gates of Tweechol Botanical Gardens, designed specifically to be a place where the elegance of Lanna culture and architecture meet the unrestrained beauty of nature. I stayed here for a few nights on my 1st leg of my trip in Chiang Mai; knowing that the Hot Air Balloon landing site is within the resort vicinity. You may want to request the resort for airport transfer as the location of the property is about 45 minutes away from the city.
Horizon Village consist of 4 room categories; Standard, Superior, Deluxe and Suite. I got myself the Superior room, a villa style with a pinch of thai contemporary deco.
This 40sqm villa stye room complete with comfortable bed and study table with a welcome fruit basket.
The toilet comes with a bathub and rainfall shower. Sadly, the resort is furnished with the 90s model television and still uses a physical room key.
The balcony allow guest to sit and relax while enjoying the lush greenery.
You can take a dip in the pool too.
The natural beauty and the care of the grounds is simply amazing.
Beautiful landscape of the rice field located right behind the room.
Horizon Village is a recommended place to stay if you like peace and relaxing surroundings. The only way to get to the town area from the resort is by red songthaew (Opposite the main road at the entrance of the resort), private car (500 Baht for one way) or complimentary daily shuttle bus (Prior booking needed).
